Get to know Sushil
OWNER & TOP-SIX CONTESTANT OF MASTERCHEF NZ 2013
Since leaving the Masterchef kitchen, Sushil took his foodie passion to the next level by working part-time at Simon Gault’s, Pravda, in Wellington and operated a gourmet Indian fusion food stall on the weekends, selling street food delicacies with a unique twist combining Indian and Kiwi spices.
Over the years, Sushil has been on a transformation journey where nutritious food combined with effective training has helped him achieve his fitness goals. Sushil strongly believes that healthy eating should not be boring and when done right we should all be able to enjoy tasty, balanced food while still being healthy and staying on track with fitness goals.
Inspired by his love for food and mission to help more New Zealanders lead an active and healthy lifestyle, he started a niche food company, Sushil’s Musclechef Meals in 2021 – a pre-made meals service, providing fresh and tasty, custom-made, nutritious, macro counted meals to people with a range of fitness goals, dietary and health requirements and caters to an impressive range of clients in the wider Wellington region.
Sushil now runs his café in Aotea serving great coffee and delicious food to the local community in and around the Porirua region.

Mary
BAKER / BARISTA
Mary has been with us since 2021 and has been an integral part of our team from day one. Mary is our very talented Baker/Barista and brings over 8 years of experience working in the NZ hospitality scene. Mary loves her food and is known as the "Camp Mum" in our team, as she ensures everyone in the team is well fed.
Ashish
CHEF
Ashish has been with us since 2024. Ashish is our very talented Chef and brings over 10 years of experience working in several hotels and cruise ships around the globe. Ashish has a great sense of humour to keep the team entertained and is known as the "Italian Chef" in our team.
Nisha
FOH / BARISTA
Nisha has been with us since 2023. Nisha is our very talented FoH/Barista and brings over 20 years of experience working in the NZ hospitality scene, particularly in the seafood industry. Nisha loves to socialise and party with her family and friends and is known as the "Party Girl" in our team.
Kyah
KITCHEN HAND
Kyah has been with us since 2022 and is the youngest member of our team. Kyah is our very talented kitchen hand and supports the team in all areas. Kyah loves to sketch and is the known as the "Team Mechanic" in our team as he enjoys fixing things.
